Hard to believe, but Labor Day is next weekend! If you're looking for a challenge or just a healthy activity outside - Take the Lake is back!! 🌊🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️

To streamline event logistics and ensure participant safety, Take The Lake is implementing online-only registration. Registration will officially close exactly 30 minutes before the start of each event.

Once the online registration window closes for an event, we will not be able to take in-person, paper registration sign-ups. Participants must secure their spots ahead of time online.

While last Friday’s storms caused damage at Galloway Farm, Home of Maze Craze, the incredible support from our local community has helped them get right to work cleaning up and rebuilding.

The corn maze was amazingly NOT damaged and will be ready for fall fun ! 🍂

This season, make plans to visit Galloway Farm and show your support. Every visit helps, and together we can help this local treasure come back stronger than ever.

Severe winds damaged Galloway Farm in Hallsboro on Friday, Aug. 21, throwing the top of a silo into a neighboring tree, knocking down power lines and collapsing a pavilion on the property.

Our neighbors at Council Tool are celebrating their 140th anniversary!!

Thanks North Carolina Department of Transportation for sending out the vacuum truck to clean out the street drains at the Hallsboro intersection! That'll help keep the water flowing....now all we need is some rain!
