While busting down some guide sets I figured I would weigh them. Pretty crazy how some can weigh double. There are rod producers who say there is no difference or they can't feel the difference in stainless vs. Titanium. I don't know how that's possible. Here is what I found.

Clear winner was our set of y frame combined with a k frame stripper and the blue titanium down to the medium frame size #6.

If you want a super light rod natural cork/carbon fiber and titanium guides are the way to go!

I haven't marbled a rod blank in 15 years...I figured I would give it a shot again on this Trout Mini Pin Rod. 11' weighing less than an ounce...... 1/2 #-4 # rating. Can't wait to try this. For as light as it is it still has excellent recovery making it feel like a fast action blank! Incredible!!!!!
