Happy National Infrastructure Week!
Rinker Materials was represented by John Susong, Bruce Spatz, and Craig Ramsey at the Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) Fly-In in Washington, D.C.
This event provided a valuable opportunity to meet with Representative Sharice Davids, Representative Dave Taylor, and Representative Tim Burchett to discuss the critical importance of strengthening America’s infrastructure and advancing policies that support long-term investment in our nation’s transportation systems.
The conversations focused on the role concrete plays in building the nation’s infrastructure and the importance of the roadway authorization and surface transportation reauthorization bill as a foundation for sustained infrastructure development across the country. Continued federal support is essential to ensuring safe, reliable, and resilient infrastructure for communities nationwide. Concrete products help deliver durable infrastructure designed to withstand fire, flood, and other natural disasters. Unlike many alternative materials, concrete is non-combustible and plays a vital role in critical roadways, bridges, and emergency evacuation routes that communities depend on during times of crisis. These resilient solutions are essential to Building America Stronger.
These investments are about people, protecting families, improving safety, and ensuring that every community has access to dependable roads and infrastructure during both everyday use and emergency situations.
It was an honor to advocate for the concrete and transportation construction industries and to reinforce the importance of infrastructure investment that supports economic growth, public safety, and national resilience.
We appreciate the opportunity to engage in these important discussions and remain committed to supporting policies that strengthen America’s infrastructure for generations to come.
