SonaKrete Custom Color was utilized for recent renovations to Oakland Airport’s International Arrivals Building (IAB). This project drastically improved operational efficiencies, doubling the capacity of international arrivals, and effectively addressed the need for centralized office and support space for the US Customs & Border Protection (CBP), which operates within the facility.

SonaKrete was utilized for the second-level office areas, break room, and multipurpose training/conference room. Spray-applied to the original concrete ceiling, which features a distinct triangular configuration, and troweled to provide a seamless finish, SonaKrete maintains the original look while providing exceptional acoustical performance. In addition to acoustic performance, SonaKrete Custom Color provides an ideal light reflectance value and helps to maximize natural day lighting.

HNK (Het Nieuwe Kantoor) offers inspiring contemporary workspaces that companies or individual workers can rent to meet their exact needs. This prestigious space was designed by SKEPP design+build, which was tasked with delivering an efficient workspace that would accommodate several individual workers. The overall project, which included office spaces, conference rooms, open areas, and a café, delivers a productive environment for the numerous workers.

Gensler, an internationally leading architectural and design firm, recently revealed its new European headquarters in Moretown, East London. The expansive 35,000 square foot building was transformed by Gensler’s architectural and interior design team into an innovative space that will meet both current and future needs. Rather than competing with the existing landscape, the building draws inspiration from the London Docks and visually enhances the surrounding environment. Exterior details complement interior elements, including timber, brick, and exposed steel, reminiscent of the historic area.

The Stožice Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Designed by Slovenian Sadar Vuga d.o.o. architects, it is the largest indoor arena in the country and home to basketball club KK Olimpija. The arena features a shell-shaped dome, which creates an enclosed setting in a mostly open-air space. To prevent energy loss escaping, a 2” application of K-13 in Black was spray-applied directly to the ribbed metal decking.

The application of K-13 provides thermal control, enhancing energy efficiency. K-13 also provided much-needed acoustical control for the many events the arena hosts by reducing reverberation and enhancing sound quality for the venue.
