Nationwide was established in 1984 by Ray Doherty on the foundation of superior service. Our roots were in the crating industry, and as consumers, we expected no less than superior service from our suppliers. We have been there as a customer, so we know first hand that customers want solutions not excuses. It was on these premises that Nationwide was built and has done business for 30 years. Emmett Doherty has spent 43 years in the fastener industry. When it came time to put Shark Bite to the test, he ran it himself.

Here is what he was looking for: a subfloor and wall sheathing nail that keeps holding as it comes out, runs in the framing gun a builder already owns, and helps cut down on squeaky floor callbacks. In our plywood test, the nails held between 550 and 770 lbs.

This 40’ high cube rolled into the Port of Houston with a bent corner post and a crushed side wall after a rough trip across the ocean. That’s the reality of importing direct from the mill. Our job is to inspect every box, document the damage, and make sure what’s inside still meets our standard before it ever reaches your job site.
