Ilion True Value Hardware has been closed for a few months, but we’re excited to share that reopening is on the horizon and we’re building our team now!

We’re looking for two dependable, motivated people who want to:
Be part of reopening a long-time local favorite
Help neighbors with the projects and supplies they need
Grow with us (one role may expand to full-time)

We’re looking for reliable, respectful people who are ready to make a difference in our community.

Canalway Cleanup Events Postponed

Due to the unprecedented recent rainfall and the current weather forecast for the rest of the week, we’ve made the decision to postpone the Canalway Cleanup events in Ilion and Frankfort.

Safety and effectiveness come first, and the conditions just aren’t right at this time.
We’ll be looking to reschedule in the very near future and will share updates as soon as we can.

Due to the weather, both Canalway Cleanup events are now happening on Saturday, May 10—and we need your help.

Meet Up to Clean Up – Ilion Marina
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Join your neighbors at the Ilion Marina to help refresh the Erie Canalway Trail. We’ll provide all the tools—just bring your helping hands and community spirit!

Let’s Clean Up Together – Frankfort Marina
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Later that day, head to the Frankfort Marina for the second round of cleanup and connection.

Last year, we had a record turnout and collected over 40 bags of debris.
This year, we’re aiming even higher—with your help!

📢 Volunteer Needed: Help Us Keep Ilion Beautiful! 🌿♻️

Ilion True Value Hardware is gearing up for our 3rd Meet Up to Clean Up at the Ilion Marina on Saturday, April 19, from 10 AM - 12 PM—part of the Parks & Trails New York Canalway Clean Sweep during Earth Day weekend! 🌎✨

We’re looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help make this event another big success! This role is key to keeping things running smoothly and includes:

✅ Setting up a table & signing in volunteers
✅ Handing out supplies & snacks
✅ Organizing cleanup efforts
✅ Snapping a few photos to capture the day’s impact

Last year, we had an amazing turnout and made a real difference—but we need YOUR help to make it happen again! If you or someone you know is passionate about keeping our community clean and green, please reach out ASAP at ilontruevaluehardware@gmail

Rock Salt & Ice Melt Update

We’ve been in touch with True Value about the ongoing rock salt and ice melt shortage since last week, and we’re happy to report that our order has been placed to replenish our stock of both! 🙌

Our delivery is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 2/21, so we are hoping our fresh stock is coming in soon. If you’d like us to notify you once we’ve received our shipment of rock salt, ice melt, and de-icer, simply type Yes Please in the comments below, and we’ll update you directly via Direct Message as soon as it’s available!

🎨 Ilion True Value Hardware: Painting a Brighter Future

We’re proud to partner with True Value Company, a subsidiary of Do It Best, to support our community through the Painting a Brighter Future Paint Grant! 🖌️

This program offers qualified youth-oriented organizations and schools the opportunity to apply for free paint to help transform their spaces. To date, Ilion True Value Hardware has donated over 300 gallons of paint valued at more than $20,000 to 7 and counting recipients!
