Central Hardware and Furniture is one of the oldest businesses in Ironton OH. Incorporated in 1909 it is located at 108-110-112 south 2nd street in a 3 story brick building erected in 1871. In the early days they had a harness maker and sold a variety of farm equipment such as International Tractors. In 1950 the business was purchased by Roy Ratliff and is presently owned by his son. In 1969 the

interior walls on the first floor were removed for customer convenience. Presently there are 3 floors of displayed furniture as well as hardware, paint, plumbing and electrical supplies and housewares. Delivery of goods is made to the tri-state area. Furniture is purchased in April and October in Highpoint, NC in the largest furniture complex in the world.
