It is with great humility that I reach out to this wonderful community and ask your forgiveness for the substandard performance of your local Ace Hardware. Over the last several months, Jasper Ace Hardware has failed to maintain the standards we promised you so long ago. This is one of those times where saying “I am Sorry” just isn’t enough.
To be clear, the blame falls on me as the store owner and not on our Red Vested heroes who have continued to serve you, the community, with excellence.
I will not make any excuses, however, there are real world issues that have impacted our stock level, and more importantly our level of service to you. It’s almost as if it was a perfect storm with many factors contributing to my failure to keep the store properly stocked. Again, allow me to offer my deepest apologies.
As with many of you, these difficult economic times have taken a harsh toll. In response I have taken a significant step towards restoring the store, and hopefully, confidence in your local Ace Hardware.
On Thursday, November 20, 2025, your Ace Hardware store will once again start receiving restock shipments, supplying the most urgent needs first and then over the following month or so, filling in the remainder of the store. This will be a slow and steady process, and I thank you in advance for your patience and support.
Although some would raise prices to generate higher revenue during a time such as this, we are not (except for the unavoidable tariffs). My commitment to you is a renewed focus on our award-winning customer service and having on hand what you need, when you need it at fair prices.
It’s not just a “feel-good” slogan, but our creed….”Serving you is the most important thing we have to do today!”
In the next week or so, we will kick off a customer appreciation weekend, and I have a sneaking suspicion Santa may pop in. Please Stay Tuned for an upcoming announcement!
I hope this is not too brash, but I can truthfully say- We Love Our Community!
On the off chance I don’t get the opportunity to personally say it – Our prayer, our hope, is that you and your family have a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving and a Very Merry Christmas.
In Your Service.
Tim McDonald, Store Owner
