We had the honor of welcoming our guests from and visiting the talented team. From their warm hospitality to the wealth of knowledge we gained, it was two days we won’t soon forget. ⁣

From existing to exceptional. ✨ What started as a dated stair became an award-winning centerpiece—recognized with a 2026 StairCraft Award for Best Stairway Renovation.

Proud to have supported this project alongside Parks and Sons, Inc. and the full team who brought it to life.

This was no simple run—one stairwell alone spans three levels with approximately seven flights, within a home featuring six total stair systems that required consistency from start to finish.

From early design through ex*****on, every detail was considered—curved transitions, custom fittings, and a seamless blend of materials that feel both timeless and intentional.

USAM was proud to supply the millwork for a project that truly transformed the space.

Sometimes real life inspires a redesign… 🐻

After an unexpected “visitor” in Asheville attempted to make his way through this screen door (we hear breakfast may have been involved), a new solution was in order.

The replacement was thoughtfully redesigned to align with the entry door behind—mirroring the lower panel layout for a cohesive, intentional look. The upper panel has been left open to receive a bronze screen (by others).

No promises on being bear-proof… but certainly built with purpose.

In Loving Memory of Becky Mase

Our team is heartbroken by the passing of our beloved friend, Becky.

Becky served USAM as our Administrative Coordinator and quickly became a dear friend to our team and customers alike. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Becky never hid her faith—her life was a reflection of JOY: Jesus, Others, before Yourself.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

We will join her family and friends in honoring and celebrating her life. Services will be held at Mynatt’s in Halls on Saturday, April 4th, beginning at 1:00 PM.

Early jobsite glimpses from a beautiful project 👀

These Douglas Fir doors from Koetter Woodworking, Inc. are already setting the tone for what will become a warm, character-rich interior. The natural grain, clean panel detailing, and solid presence of Douglas Fir create a foundation that pairs beautifully with the surrounding woodwork as the space begins to take shape.

It’s always exciting to see a project at this stage — when the materials are in place and you can begin to envision the finished result. These early shots offer just a hint of what’s coming together behind the scenes.

Our U.S. Architectural Millwork team had the pleasure of taking several amazing partners to Koetter Woodworking, Inc. for an in-depth plant tour — and it did not disappoint.

A huge thank-you to Biles Construction, LLC and Parks and Sons, Inc. for joining us to see firsthand the craftsmanship, precision, and innovation that go into every moulding, door, and millwork product we supply.

Shoutout to our USAM reps — representing Knoxville and representing our WNC team out of Asheville, and to the Koetter family for hosting and making the day both educational and enjoyable.
