Gerald Guidry started working with his father Cyrus Guidry, in the hardware store at the age of 12 and took over in 1973 after his father retired. And to this day it is still managed on the main principal of “Customer Service”. Gerald retired several years ago, but before his retirement, you could find Gerald at the Lafayette location about 6:30 each morning, greeting the customers as they entered
the store, and asking if they needed help. And though Gerald is not there anymore, one of our friendly staff will always welcome you and ask if you need help, which you don’t find at the big box stores. Our friendly staff will make every effort to help you and solve your hardware problems.
