We have now moved into a Blizzard Warning overnight. This is shaping up to be a true boom or bust storm — everything depends on where the heaviest snow band sets up.

Please keep in mind:

The storm will continue developing throughout the day.

The heaviest snow is expected between 4–6 PM today and will continue through the night.

Winds may cause blowing and drifting snow, reducing visibility and making travel dangerous.

We will continue monitoring conditions closely and will head out to service customers as soon as possible once the storm winds down.

We are currently under a Winter Storm Watch for Sunday through Monday. Forecasts are calling for winds exceeding 35 mph and snow totals potentially over 6 inches, with conditions subject to change as the system develops.

Cold weather again tonight—please be sure to take precautions to keep pipes from freezing.

Final snow totals are coming in, with 12 inches on the low end and up to 20 inches in higher elevations. Many local stores, including Boyers and Redners, are closing tomorrow to protect employees ahead of the storm.

Please stay home and plan to shelter in place to allow plows safe passage and time to clear the roads. If you need any assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.

🚨 STATE OF EMERGENCY – WINTER STORM ALERT 🚨

A State of Emergency has been declared ahead of this historic winter storm. Many boroughs, including Lansford, have enacted emergency measures.

⚠️ Important for Lansford residents:
All vehicles must be moved from the south side of Patterson Street by 12:00 PM today to allow emergency routes to be cleared. Vehicle restrictions go into effect at 12:01 AM Sunday, January 25.

This storm is expected to be severe. Please be prepared to shelter in place if necessary. If you must travel, be sure your vehicle is stocked with blankets, food, and water.

Across the country, this system is already causing power outages and road closures. We encourage everyone to check on neighbors, especially the elderly or those with limited mobility, and to have a plan in place in the event of a power outage.

Once the storm passes and conditions are safe, we will begin servicing our customers as soon as possible.

We are continuing to monitor the incoming snowstorm expected Sunday into Monday. Current snowfall projections range from 8–24 inches, depending on the storm’s track. We are fully prepared and ready to service all of our customers in a timely manner.
