I don’t even know how to start this post as I am literally losing hope at this point 🥺 I just took in 19 cats from this hoarding case in Somerset County two days ago and my plan was to go back and begin trapping because I was told there were only 2 to 3 more left. Then I got a picture from the HPO up there tonight as I asked him if he could pick up the food so I could begin trapping, and this is the picture I received! There are at least 9 to 10 more 😫 And if I don’t get them into RESCUE in the next week, they’re going to stop feeding 😿 This is an hour drive for me each way and I have bottle babies here that rely on me to be fed every three hours! I also, like I just said, took in 1️⃣9️⃣ cats!!!! I put out a plea for help a few days ago for the 19 I just saved, and only raised $350 😔 I’m looking at these cats and I can already tell at least another one is pregnant. I just took in 2 females that may be pregnant, three nursing moms with 12 kittens. I am out of funds! I’ve been trying to remodel my detached garage, but only raised $800. I think people think I’m this huge rescue because I’m able to take in so many, but that’s because I’ve used so much of my own money and I have amazing volunteers, but I am not a large RESCUE, I am not the Humane Society! I need money for all of their vet care, all of their spay/neuters, all of their food, money to pay to keep the lights on and the rent paid! Come August, I will have to start raising money to pay the $1300 a month for the adoption center, which I haven’t had to do in a year because I used my own personal funds for the first year’s rent! I am seriously reaching out for help and I hate begging, but at this point, I don’t know what else to do! I saw something on the news the other day about 15 animals saved from a hoarding situation and they raised over $10,000! I saved 19 precious souls in 24 hours and raised $350 😞 I know I sound like a broken record, but you guys see the work that I’m doing, I am very transparent, and at this point right now I’m not gonna be able to save all of these cats without your help! I’m going to set three traps tomorrow and whoever goes in will be the lucky ones unless I can raise more money to save the rest! And if anyone wants to be upset with me for showing the true reality of RESCUE, well then I’m sorry, don’t send me hate messages, because it won’t make a difference! If I don’t have the funds, I can only do what I can do! And if you think I’m not gonna cry about it every night, well you’re wrong about that too!
