We are proud of our partnership with The Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville’s MAC Lab Program and the opportunities it creates for the next generation of skilled manufacturing professionals.
As students complete the program, they have the chance to participate in a three-week externship with industry partners, where they gain valuable hands-on experience. From measuring real-world parts and following safety procedures to working as part of a team, using time clocks, and learning CNC machining skills, these experiences help prepare students for successful careers in manufacturing.
From day one, Garrett arrived eager to learn, asked thoughtful questions, and jumped right into hands-on training with our CNC machines. His work ethic and enthusiasm for the industry made a lasting impression on our team. We offered Garrett a full-time position shortly after graduation. What makes this story even more special is what we learned afterward. Garrett has a family legacy at Leech Industries. His grandfather worked in our CNC department for 30 years before retiring in the early 1990s. Today, Garrett is learning the same trade from craftsmen who learned from his grandfather years ago.
