100°+ FOR WEEKS. WE FEEL IT. OUR ROADS DO, TOO.
The Mid-South has been dealing with relentless heat—and pavement can get significantly hotter than the air around it.
Those extreme surface temperatures put added stress on pavement. Combine that with heavy traffic, moisture and the challenging soils beneath many of our roads, and the entire pavement system has a lot to handle.
That’s why what’s underneath matters.
A properly designed base helps distribute loads, improve stability and create a stronger, more uniform foundation for the pavement above.
Cement-Treated Base (CTB) takes that foundation a step further by combining aggregate, cement and water to create an engineered base designed for strength and long-term performance.
We can’t control the temperature.
But we can engineer what’s underneath.

The geology defines the problem. Engineering defines the response.
