Well it's been a while with the virus...supplies have been hard to get and some suppliers have closed their doors permanently, like Ralide Saddle Trees๐Ÿ˜ญ. This week has started with replacing rigging leathers ๐Ÿ˜Š the third saddle will need raw hide wraps to prevent the bars from splitting any further before new rigging leathers can be installed. A lot of people complain that their saddle squeaks, which means that your saddle is screaming to be cleaned and conditioned. Talcom powder will only dry out the leather even more.
A good cleaning with saddle soap and conditioning with your choice of Neatsfoot oil, Skidmores leather cream, mink oil or harness oil will remedy that problem.

Fenders are to protect your legs from being pinched by the stirrup leathers; to keep your legs clean from dirt and horse sweat and lastly they are decorative. They are not meant to bear weigh of any kind.
