A new look, the same Lyon & Billard you know and trust. 💙

Today marks an exciting next step as Lyon & Billard proudly joins the Koopman Lumber Family.

We’ll continue operating under the Lyon & Billard name, now with a refreshed logo that celebrates our next chapter and proudly reads “Part of the Koopman Lumber Family.”

For nearly 180 years, we have served the Connecticut community with quality, service, and dedication. Now, with the added strength of Koopman Lumber, we are ready to build on that tradition and keep delivering the experience you know and love.

We are celebrating with vintage photos from both the Lyon & Billard and Koopman archives, honoring where we have been and where we are headed together. 🛠️

Big news from the L&B family!

A new chapter in our story is underway.

For nearly 180 years of serving the Connecticut community, Lyon & Billard is proud to share that we’ve been transitioning to join the Koopman Lumber Family.

We’ll be closing for a few days to take inventory and prepare for this transition:
• Berlin closes at 2 PM on Thursday, October 23rd
• Cheshire, East Hampton, and Meriden close on Friday, October 24th
• All locations will remain closed Saturday and Sunday
• We’ll reopen Monday, October 27th, as Lyon & Billard, “Part of the Koopman Lumber Family”

Jim, Dan, Lorne, Jason, and Lori Goralnik, along with other members of the Goralnik family and the Lyon & Billard team, will continue on with Koopman Lumber, carrying forward the same values and customer commitment that have defined Lyon & Billard for generations.

We also want to honor Al and Edd Goralnik, who have led Lyon & Billard for decades with hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of personality. Their leadership and commitment have left a lasting mark on this company and community, and we’re grateful for everything they’ve built.

You’ll still see the same friendly faces and experience the same great service, now with the added strength and resources of Koopman Lumber.

At Lyon & Billard, we will walk the customer through all the options, which allows them to find the perfect decking, railing, and ball posts caps to create their dream deck!
