During April we will be joining other organizations throughout Midland and across the United States by planting pinwheels around our front entrance – it’s a national program to raise community awareness and serve as a reminder for the role we play in children’s lives. Since 2008, the blue pinwheel has served as a national symbol for child abuse prevention month. Pinwheels represent childlike whimsy and lightheartedness; a vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy, and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities.
