Growth is an integral part of the business & WOH originally started with one store located in New Bremen. In 1976, a second store opened in Minster. The two small stores combined into the new current 40,000 square foot facility in 1987 midway between Minster & New Bremen. In 2004, a second location was added in St. Henry, Ohio which is located in southern Mercer County. In February 2013, we opened
our 3rd location in Wapakoneta, Ohio, located in the Grandview Plaza. We are excited to be able to provide a family owned hardware store for the people of Wapak, Cridersville, Botkins, Waynesfield & the surrounding area. In 2018, we purchased an existing True Value store in Troy, Ohio. We doubled the size of the store to 22,000 sq ft, introducing new and exciting niches to the Miami Valley area. There are three active generations of the Kuenning family currently working in the stores every day. WOH is currently being run by the 3rd Generation and now the 4th generation has started to enter the business. Store security is handled by Rocky - a sad looking Basset Hound dog who can be seen hanging out at the parts counter or following his favorite customers around. No matter which location you visit, you will find our well stocked aisles contain the largest selection of fasteners & general hardware in the area. You will also find power tools, paint, housewares, electrical, automotive supplies, a year round garden center, home decor, lawn & garden equipment & pet supplies.
