This week is CPR / AED Awareness Week and Brady and Branson, members of our quarry crew, agreed to let me post their pictures to help spread the word. A few weeks ago I was filing and came across a saved newspaper clipping with their story from the fall of 2010.

At the time, Branson was a very little boy that went adventuring and figured out how to get into the family pool. When he was missed, Brady ran straight for the pool and found him at the bottom, already blue.

This is a story that could have ended very badly, but when Brady was in the military he was trained in First Aid / CPR and had maintained certification for work. He immediately began working on his son as others called 911.

Even if you are not required to be CPR certified for work, consider doing it anyway. It can make a world of difference in a bad situation. It certainly did for Brady, Branson, their family and Indian Creek Stone Products.

Lawrence County, Indiana is back in the orange and Indian Creek Stone Products has begun the process of clearing snow and getting back to work. ***There will be no loading of trucks today.*** If we have told you a load is ready for pickup, please call before sending a truck to make sure we are able to load you.

Also, be advised that there are still counties around us that are red-level travel advisory.
