🚧 A little behind-the-scenes look at what our crew has been working on! 🔧

We’re currently in the rough-in stages of TWO bathroom remodels for one of our homeowners, and our guys have been hard at work!

There’s a whole lot more to a bathroom remodel than the beautiful finished product. From running new water lines to installing drains and getting everything ready behind the walls, it’s the work you don’t see that helps make everything come together.

We’re excited to see these bathrooms take shape and can’t wait to share the finished results!

Stay tuned! 👀 And give us a call to discuss your next home project!

TIP TUESDAY: Why is my water pressure bad in ONE room?

I had a customer call recently saying the water pressure is great in the kitchen… but the bathroom sink or shower barely had any pressure? 🚿

When low water pressure is isolated to one room or fixture, it usually means the problem is somewhere in that specific area—not necessarily the whole house.

A few common reasons for this:
🔺 Mineral buildup in the faucet aerator or showerhead
🔺 A clogged or failing faucet/shower cartridge
🔺 A shutoff valve that isn’t fully open or is failing
🔺 Buildup or a restriction in the water line feeding that area

Quick tip: If it’s only ONE faucet, start by checking and cleaning the aerator. If several fixtures in the same room have poor pressure, it may be time to have the plumbing feeding that area checked.

Good water pressure shouldn’t be a room-by-room luxury. 😉 If you’re having the same issue, give Shores Plumbing a call!

Check out this before & after! 👀

BEFORE: A leaking water heater tucked away in the attic — definitely not where you want to discover a leak. 😬💧

AFTER: A beautifully installed Navien tankless water heater! 🙌

Our team removed the leaking unit and gave this homeowner a clean, efficient upgrade they can enjoy for years to come.

If you’re not familiar with tankless water heaters, they work a little differently than a traditional water heater. Instead of keeping a large tank of water heated 24/7, a tankless unit heats the water as you need it.

That means no bulky storage tank, more usable space, improved energy efficiency, and a continuous supply of hot water when the system is properly sized for your home. 🙌

Thinking it might be time to upgrade your water heater? Whether you’re looking for tank or tankless, Shores Plumbing can help you find the right option for your home.

🥶 That cold weather this morning was a reminder… winter is coming!

As temperatures start dropping, now is the time to make sure your home’s plumbing is ready. A little preparation can help prevent frozen pipes, water damage, and an unexpected plumbing emergency.

❄️ Cold Weather Plumbing Tips from Shores Plumbing:

🔹 Disconnect your garden hoses. Leaving a hose connected can trap water and increase the risk of freezing and damaged pipes.

🔹 Protect outdoor faucets. Drain them when possible and consider adding an inexpensive insulated faucet cover.

🔹 Insulate exposed pipes. Pipes in crawl spaces, garages, basements, and other unheated areas are especially vulnerable when temperatures drop.

🔹 Know where your main water shutoff is. If a pipe ever bursts, shutting the water off quickly can prevent thousands of dollars in damage.

🔹 Keep the heat on. Even if you’re leaving town, don’t turn your heat completely off during freezing weather.

🔹 Open sink cabinets during extreme cold. This allows warm air to circulate around plumbing located against exterior walls.

🔹 Let vulnerable faucets drip during a hard freeze. A small trickle of water can help reduce the chance of a pipe freezing.

🔹 Don’t ignore a frozen pipe. If you turn on a faucet and only get a trickle—or nothing at all—it could be frozen.

Winter plumbing problems are a lot easier to prevent than they are to clean up!
