In Syracuse, NY, bluestone sidewalks were traditionally king, due to its abundance throughout upstate NY. So, we were pretty shocked to find these slabs of limestone sidewalk attached to curbing we reclaimed from Syracuse streets. It turns out, when construction was completed on a few of the city’s impressive limestone buildings, leftover slabs were laid as sidewalk. Likely taken from nearby Split Rock Quarry, these Onondaga limestone sidewalks are incredible rare, and we’re incredibly lucky to have them in our yard!

Nothing compares to these monsters. We are all going to miss them….
