Our annual Halloween Costume Contest brought out some serious creativity, a few questionable characters, and plenty of laughs!

The ABS crew cast their votes, and the winners have officially been crowned!

1st Place: Haunted Door ( #6)
2nd Place: Bob Ross ( #3)
3rd Place: Pillsbury Doughboy ( #1)

Take a look at all seven costumes and tell us... Who would've gotten YOUR vote?

No recounts allowed, but we're definitely open to some friendly debate in the comments! 😂

Today, we celebrated a very special member of the ABS family!

After 26 years of dedicated service, Sherry Lewis, our Director of Human Resources, is retiring!

Throughout her career, Sherry has been so much more than the person behind the policies and paperwork. She has been a steady source of wisdom, compassion, and encouragement, helping employees navigate challenges, celebrate milestones, and grow in their careers.

Her leadership and genuine care for people have left a lasting impact on Allied Building Stores and everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her.

Sherry, thank you for 26 wonderful years of dedication, friendship, and service. Your ABS family wishes you all the happiness, relaxation, and adventure this next chapter brings!

Congratulations on your retirement, Sherry!

We're thinking PINK this October! 🩷

The ABS team came together in pink to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and show our support for everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.

To the fighters, survivors, and families walking through this journey, we're standing with you.

October is a reminder of the importance of awareness, early detection, and supporting one another.

Twenty-five years later, many of us can still remember exactly where we were when we first heard the news.

Where were you on September 11, 2001? What do you remember about that day?

Today, we remember the lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families forever changed, and all those who answered the call to serve in the days and years that followed.

May we never forget.

Labor Day is more than a long weekend.
The holiday began in the late 19th century as a way to recognize the contributions American workers make to our nation’s strength, prosperity and well-being. The first Labor Day was celebrated in New York City in 1882, and in 1894, it became a national holiday observed on the first Monday in September.
More than 140 years later, that purpose is still worth remembering.
At Allied Building Stores, we see the value of hard work every day. It’s in the people who open the doors each morning. The teams working in lumberyards and warehouses. The drivers making deliveries. The people helping customers solve problems. The builders turning materials into homes and businesses. And the independent dealers creating jobs and serving communities across America.
This Labor Day, we celebrate the people behind the work and the contributions they make to our industry, our communities and our country.
Happy Labor Day from Allied Building Stores.
