The Wilbur Woodshed is the realization of a dream for this disabled combat veteran. I have worked with my hands since I was in high school; from carpentry and joinery to cement and stone masonry. After serving in both the US Navy and US Army, I retired, finished my degree, and decided it was time to pursue my real passion of creative expression through building. Born and raised in Appalachian Ohio

, and spending both weekends and Summers on my grandparents' farm, my projects are inspired by the Primitive Farmhouse style I was surrounded by. Being an environmentally conscious person, I try to re-purpose vintage items and use mostly reclaimed wood. I also use only earth friendly finishes, e.g., Shellac, Boiled Linseed Oil, and a combination of Bee's Wax, Paraffin, and Carnauba Wax dissolved in pure gum spirits of Turpentine.
