This is a good example of why the window you choose — and who you have representing and installing it — matters.

We were called in to take over this new construction project after problems started showing up with the windows.

Nearly all of the windows on this house have an issue. They are either warped from heat exposure, improperly installed, or incorrectly measured.

The window pictured here is a brand-new black exterior/white interior window that has already warped from heat. It was an inexpensive window, and now it has to be removed and replaced.

But the problems didn’t stop with the window itself.

At another opening on the same job site, we found that the window itself wasn’t sized properly for the opening, and the new construction nail fin wasn’t even contacting the framing.

That’s a problem before you ever get to the finishing details.

This is why choosing a window based solely on price can become very expensive.

A quality window is important, but so is having someone who understands the application, knows the products, properly measures the openings, and understands how the window needs to be installed.
