Those of you who know me personally know I have a tendency to be long-winded — and a bad habit of launching into seemingly unrelated stories that, likely by chance, always come full circle.

It feels a little foolish to even attempt condensing a decade’s worth of learning and growing — the wins, the losses, the personal connections, and community — into a single text block on an internet page.

Today, I’ll keep it brief.

December 1st marks Lockeland Leather’s 10-Year Anniversary — a milestone I never imagined. Every year has been unexpected, and somehow more fun and rewarding than the last.

I can say with certainty that I’ve made some great friends along the way.

We’re only getting started, and I can’t wait for what’s to come.

Reminiscing this project in collaboration with Warner Music Nashville.

We were commissioned to craft a limited run of Full Grain Record Sleeves for Cody Johnson’s appropriately named album, “Leather.”

Following the completion of this project, “Leather” was named CMA’s Album of the Year.

We’re humbled to have played a small part in Cody’s story and thankful for the great connections we’ve made along the way.

Custom Check Presenters for Marcel, a first-rate steakhouse in Atlanta, Georgia taking it's name from the French fighter, Marcel Cerdan.

The wine-red leather hints towards vintage boxing gloves and flaunts a two-process stamp | A discrete line drawing of Marcel himself, paired with a gilded script signature.

This Crossbody Bag, crafted Fall of 2023, offered a welcomed break from our production work and the opportunity to slow down and get back to basics.

Handcrafted from French Chèvre and oozing with detail-driven design appointments, this simple bag is 100% saddle stitched and features Riri Zippers and Solid Brass Hardware.

Let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit this unique project from 2022.

We were commissioned by Johnston & Murphy to create an art installation for their headquarters in Nashville, TN. Utilizing leathers from previous J&M shoe collections, we designed and created a triptych displaying upcycled leathers meticulously quilted with handstiched details, paying homage to Japanese boro + sashiko stitching. Each quilt is displayed suspended in a solid walnut shadow box crafted by our friends at

Years later this remains one of our favorite projects.

The best we can do is look for the "green lights" and accept the unexpected. We were taken by surprise at the opportunity to create a new home for our humble leather goods brand, and we couldn't be more excited for the growth it will allow.
