Louisiana's Oldest General Store celebrating 163 years! Located in historic downtown Natchitoches, Kaffie-Frederick has operated continuously for 159 years.

Five generations of the two families have overseen daily operations since 1863. As Louisiana's oldest general store, we feature everything you remember from the "good old days" like hardware, housewares, cookware and kitchen supplies, classic toys, and gifts. Our original elevator still works, as do our early 1900's cash registers. Our specialties are good old fashioned service and quality merchandise. That formula has worked for 159 years, so we pledge to continue it.

Here's something interesting...We were an official distributor of Boy Scout supplies, so we've taken some things that were on display and put them out on the counter for sale.
