We hope you all get the chance to hit the beach this summer and maybe you'll be lucky enough to visit one with buildings JBC has worked on!

(1-2) Jones Beach State Park is the crown jewel of the NYS Parks department with many buildings constructed during Robert Moses' reign as Parks Commissioner. The bathhouses in particular are beautiful examples of Art Deco public architecture. JBC has been involved in the design and restoration of several buildings throughout the Park. Look for the reopening of the East Bathhouse next summer 🤞🤞!

(3-4) Orchard Beach is the only public beach in The Bronx and is another Robert Moses project. JBC performed a conditions assessment of the bathhouse building as well as developing and implementing a materials testing program for the terra cotta, masonry and finishes.

(5) Fire Island Lighthouse is one of many lighthouses located adjacent to beaches that JBC has worked on. We've analyzed paint, mortar, and parging to help maintain these lighthouse towers in both their historic and weathertight conditions.

(6-7) If you're a pool person, NYC public pools are frequently excellent examples of WPA era architecture. We've done everything from historic research to mortar analysis to masonry restoration at numerous pools like McCarren Park and Lyons Pool recreation center.
