Job Description
Arkansas Tool & Die is seeking an experienced Tool Maker to join our precision manufacturing team. We are a climate-controlled job shop specializing in one-off parts, custom tooling, dies, and tight-tolerance components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in toolmaking, machining, and precision measurement, with the ability to build, repair, and maintain tooling to exact specifications.

Responsibilities
• Build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
• Operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD files
• Perform precision fitting, polishing, heat-treat prep, and assembly
• Hold tight tolerances using precision measurement instruments
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and provide solutions to improve performance
• Work closely with engineers and machinists to complete tooling projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment

Qualifications
• 5–10 years of toolmaking or die-making experience preferred
• Strong understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes
• Ability to set up and run manual machines; CNC experience a plus
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret complex prints and 3D models
• Experience with surface grinding and EDM is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

NEW MACHINE!

Our newest Haas VF-7 CNC mill is now on the floor, featuring 32 inches of X travel, 84 inches of Y travel, and the ability to machine parts up to 24 inches tall.

With multiple large travel machines in house, we can machine large components, weldments, and fixture work.

Arkansas Tool & Die is looking for a CNC Mill Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a background in usage of computers and numerical control machines. The position also requires strong problem-solving, a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process, strong set-up and machining background with an eye for detail. Must be able to use precise measurement tools and hold tight tolerances. Esprit CAD software programming experience a plus. 5–10 years experience is needed. Arkansas Tool & Die is a job shop with the major work being one-off parts, very little production machining. Shop is climate-controlled with all vertical CNC machines being Haas.

Here at Arkansas Tool & Die, we use SolidWorks along with Logopress to design and build our dies. From progressive to transfer and line dies, we can model every detail before we ever hit the shop floor.

This lets us work out any issues early, save time and material, and make sure everything fits together the way it should. Our CAD capabilities let us take an idea and turn it into a finished, working tool.

We also do test runs of our dies to ensure that your parts are made to exact specification you are needing!
