Wilkes County Hardware product Spotlight of the Week… A moment to celebrate our friend and local artist Keegan Watson who will be celebrated this week with an Art Show Opening at Wilkes Art Gallery this Friday evening.
We are always “bowled” over with Keegan’s tremendous talent in many areas. Stop by WCH to see his woodworking products. His vast collection of work makes a beautiful gift for anyone. AND don’t forget to go out to support his talent later on this week as well as other local artists at the latest gallery exhibition.

What’s new this Wednesday???
Sharing a quick update for our Labor Day store hours.
We will have normal hours Friday September 4th. Wilkes County Hardware will be closed Saturday through Monday for Labor Day weekend . We will reopen on Tuesday September 8th with regular hardware store hours 8am-6pm.

Tasty Tuesday!
Let’s talk about the classic chicken mop sauce that literally flies off our shelves. The classic recipe you love rolled into a nicely bottled product. Monday product spotlight… furnace filters. I changed ours yesterday, and it was much overdue! We try to switch our filter out monthly to maximize the efficiency of our unit working properly.

This week leading into September will definitely be a warm one! Use this product spotlight today as a reminder to check and change your furnace filter this week!!!

Today our family is celebrating ONE year with Jethro!

He has been a wonderful addition to our family. His personality continues to blossom and grow as “Ro” has adjusted to consistent life of love and family.

A year ago, he was very timid, and now is gaining more confidence each and every day. Yes, loud sounds still bother him, but “Ro” has come a long way! He has adapted to our busy hardware life with his two pup sisters, exuding resilience.

A few Ro favorites… Jethro loves a good toy play time, riding in the car, a good long nap covered in a blanket, a good plop in the grass and of course, snack time!

I feel very lucky to have found him as he has brought me tremendous comfort over the last year through my cancer diagnosis and treatment. Ro was a constant companion and IS my shadow. He goes where I go everyday, including work. He has become a daily presence at the hardware store. As a result, we had several people to ask about doing a t-shirt to honor him… so we did.

Wilkes County Hardware has a few summer Jethro shirts left supporting our local Humane Society. Stop by and pick up one soon! You will probably find our sweet, little guy behind the counter watching everyone or simply napping. He’s a quiet little guy, back there… saving his barking spells for home, alerting us to any activity in our neighborhood.
