I certainly started learning to write and play this stuff much later in life than I wish, but what an incredible journey it’s been so far, transitioning from an electric rock guy, to “high octane” flat picking. Way to many ghosted notes, to many other strings ringing out constantly, but in the end, I’m happy to have written this piece, and finally able to make it all the way through.
Time to focus on phrasing, clarity, and balance.

Today’s “To Do’s…

Get the Tortoise guard fit for the double neck ( ready for final Wiring tomorrow ).
Cut some neck blanks, and level the rib on the 3 point.

Next up… time to carve that 3 Point back.

This will be a special build for me, as it’s the “10 Year Anniversary” of my LF45 Mandolin. Since it inception, all LF45’s have been commissioned builds, so it will be a fun time starting with my own appointments in mind… and we’ll see what comes of it.

I’m not exactly sure what it is about Mandolins in “The White”…. But it’s my favorite time of the build. Don’t get me wrong, the color and finish really brings them to life, but I’ll have Love this point in the build.

Starting another L2J has been on my mind for quite a while… I think I’m putting one in the Que for myself this time 🫢😂
