After years of searching, I recently got a haul of 3 different Red Tent's in various stages of disrepair!

However, between them I will finally be able to make my first red tent (seen in the second picture) fully functional again!

Sorry for the lack of Updates! Been busy with finals. I am happy to say I have finally isolated the problem chips on the TV Ping Pong board that were causing it to short!

Next order of business will be adding sockets to the board, replacing bad chips and hopefully getting this game running again over Christmas break!

Introducing the oldest machine in my collection! This Chicago Coin TV Ping Pong from 1973!

It's essentially a near perfect hardware clone of Atari's Pong arcade board with a very similar cabinet, but a much bigger TV! You read that right, not a monitor a LITERAL off-the-shelf G.E. Black and White television!

The board's not working right now, but I'm going to give it a shot at fixing it. This is new territory for me being an entirely TTL (transistor logic) based game!

PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE!

After replacing a diode and resistor on the board as well as reflowing some solder joints, the vertical collapse on the Red Tent monitor is GONE!

The sync isn't quite right as you can see by the curves and lines, but I'm much closer to fixing it now!

Did some more work on the Red Tent monitor. Unfortunately, the resistor and Diode I checked seem to be fine, so that doesn't seem to be the problem. (However I will need to get replacements anyway)

I also tested the yoke, which also seems to healthy, thank goodness!

I'm starting to suspect possibly bad traces or cold solder joints.

I've got a few tricks I've yet to try. Hopefully I'll be able to retitle this picture as "before". Stay tuned!
