This stunning outdoor mantel was built by using one of our reclaimed hand-hewn beams salvaged from a Midwest barn dating back to the 1800s. We especially love the modern take on the corbels!

Thank you to Mattei’s Tavern in Santa Ynez for preserving a piece of history. The hand hewn beam mantels in their cottages were reclaimed from barns in the 1800’s by American Barnwood. It’s an amazing thing that their story continues in such a beautiful new setting for so many to enjoy! ❤️

In the 1800s, these beams held up a working barn, sheltering livestock and storing harvests.
Today, they frame an indoor pergola where friends gather to toast with wine.
A new chapter for this wood, bringing a piece of American history to the Central Coast. 🍷
