Many have known I have had hopes of moving to Oregon for many years. Well, it brings me great joy to announce that it finally happens the start of this March. This obviously means The Dead Fret is rested (reseated if you’re into guitar puns).

This is your absolute last chance to get some work done from me, but I’m not accepting very large or time consuming projects. Please reach out, I’d love to see some of you before I go.

To anyone who has gotten any work from me big or small, you rock and thank you! My proudest moment was when I was able to pursue this as a profession and genuinely love my job and career. That would simply be impossible without you.

Peoria, thank you from the core of my heart for all of your support. An incredible amount of laughs, stories, and friendships were made over the years that are sure to last a lifetime.

I have loved every second of becoming a part of this community, and making an impact on the connection between a player and their instrument.

Finished up this long 60’s Fender Duo-Sonic restoration. The project began with a stripped body and neck and a box of parts. Lots of work was done to get this guitar back to life and I enjoyed every moment of it. List below of all the work. Massive thank you to the customer for the trust 🎸

-Refinish in lake placid blue nitro with matching headstock with very light relic
-Genuine vintage Fender tuners and bridge
-Handmade bone nut
-Custom Shop Seymour Duncan Antiquity’s
-Full rewire with vintage spec cloth wiring
-CTS potentiometers
-Switchcraft switch and output
-Orange drop cap

Wasn’t too familiar with Beard Guitars, but I definitely am now after working on this lovely Deco acoustic of theirs built in Maryland. This Highball model has all the punch and projection you could possibly want from an acoustic.
