Happy Mother's Day. What follows is the making of a picnic table from seven water tank staves from the big mama tank - 275,000 gallon Miwok Village water tank. Our wonderful client JB grew up drinking water from this very tank. He had no idea we had it. We stacked the seven stages on his truck rack and he took it home to Lafayette to make a picnic table for his wife for Mother's Day. That was Thursday afternoon already so he would have Friday and Saturday to make it. What a wonderful guy he is! This is the progression of the stages to table in his driveway shop. He finished it on Saturday and now it has the best view in Happy Valley.. I look forward to seeing a photo of them at the table today sometime.

Jake Carver - what a talent as a carver! Now this certainly belongs in some skiers yard - a Tahoe cabin - A Tahoe lovers home and it reminds me of a Cherokee Parable .

"An old Cherokee Indian chief was teaching his grandson about life.

He said, "A fight is going on inside me," he told the young boy, "a fight between two wolves.

The Dark one is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The Light Wolf is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you grandson…and inside of every other person on the face of this earth.”

The grandson ponders this for a moment and then asked, "Grandfather, which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee smiled and simply said, "The one you feed".

Well - we love hearing about wooden water tanks and bringing them home with us! This was a truckload. Clear old growth redwood is an unbridled joy here and of course we always repurpose as much as we can creatively! This one needed our friends at C&A Trucking with their 48 footer. (we have worked together for almost 25 years!) Next we mill off the skins to use them as wall accents and cladding etc Here is a wee story board.

I found this fine craft bobbing by our dock after Butter & E.gg Parade. Sorry it took me so long to post. We are looking for the owner. Probably the one with RC! (remote control that is) I reported the find to our Petaluma Police Department and advised them that all personnel on board were unresponsive. Please pass this around so that the owner may find us. It is stored at Heritage Salvage 1473 Petaluma Blvd. S. 94952.

So we got hacked on Facebook in more ways than one - Facebook closed our instagram account and then tried to bill us 3 times for the same $900 invoice - they were successful twice out of 3 times - I have been trying to connect with a person for over 2 months now - anybody have any suggestions - and for some entity that refers to itself as the Metaverse they sure get hacked a lot!
