Absolutely elated to have been awarded best in show at the Edgy Expo in Perth, Scotland this weekend. This show was so well organized and attended! I just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone involved with the show. It is always so cool to see everyone’s work and meet new friends!!

I promised a finished picture and here it is. This one is done and being packed up for a trip to Scotland.

Bison leg bone handle, copper collar, etched wrought iron guard and Damascus core Go-Mai blade.

The sheath is deerskin rawhide with bison collar, copper, horse hair, ermine tail, mink tail, rattlesnake vertebra, glass beads and badger claw.

The stand was made to specifically display this piece.

Rawhide has such a unique look but it’s not as simple to work with as vegetable tanned leather. It’s worth the extra effort to me though.

Badger jawbone handle, rawhide and Damascus. The sheath is a story all on its own with deerskin rawhide, and fringe with rattlesnake vertebra, badger claws, glass and brass beads, copper cones with horse and bison hair
