Position Overview: Cascade Geosynthetics is actively searching for a qualified individual to fill our full-time Inside Sales position at our Portland, OR location. This position must show a professional image through in-person and phone interaction with customers as well as vendors and associates.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and potential bonus opportunity. Signing bonus offered as well.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist Customer with Correct Product Selection - Become Solution Provider
•Determine problem/need of walk-in or call-in customer by being a technical expert and asking questions. Determine whether there is a need to get outside sales person involved based on size of project/problem, size of customer and complexity of solution.
•Come up with solution set. Solve the problem with several options if possible.
•Assist in evaluating alternatives to come up with best valued solution by working with pricing structures.
•Close sale with customer involvement on best solution.
•Determine time frame for delivery/arrival of material, etc. Keep customer in loop for realistic expectations of solution and time frames.
Process Customer Orders in Coordination with Operations
•Create ticket/paperwork
•Order material if necessary and follow up with vendor process to ensure completion, while creating and fostering vendor relationships
•Schedule delivery to customer with proper time sensitive issues
•Complete paperwork process and communicate sale to salesman if appropriate. Process includes creating/confirming shipment, evaluating margins, and create invoices.
Inventory Management
•Track inventory usage and monitor low stock
•Order material and arrange delivery for “just in time” inventory management
Assist Outside Sales Force
•Information gathering and communication of information to outside sales
•Assisting with pricing and product information as needed
•Complete and email quotes to customers when needed
•Compile and send submittal packages and certification requests
•Work within CRM system for tracking Opportunities
•Assist with managing Contacts and Business Accounts
•Monitor sales trends with specific customers and communicate to salesperson
•Collect photos and project information for social media posts to forward to Marketing Team
Work As Needed in Warehouse (where applicable)
•Help with deliveries, unloading trucks, evaluating stock, cleaning up, etc.
Qualifications for the Successful Candidate:
•Traits for being successful in this role will be positivity and curiosity.
•Self-motivated and driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
•Strong communication skills - the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing will be critical. Communicate with all salesmen often on all aspects of customer issues and concerns, becoming integral to the sales team. Communicate with the Branch Manager on all issues, ideas, concerns, etc.
•Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently. Stay on top of all issues related to vendors, new products, shipping, customers, etc.
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
