Mead Lumber Co. Inc. is proud to support youth participation in the Washington County 4-H Shooting Sports program through Cornell Cooperative Extension.

The 4-H Shooting Sports program is a comprehensive youth development initiative focused on safe and responsible fi****ms education, while addressing STEM learning, healthy living, leadership development, and civic engagement. It provides young people the opportunity to build discipline, confidence, responsibility, and meaningful relationships with adult mentors — the very foundations that help youth grow into competent, connected, character-driven members of society.

Registration for the 2026 season closes on February 27th.

If you have a child or family member who would like to participate this year but financial constraints are standing in the way, please send me a private message. Mead Lumber would like to sponsor a few youths this season to help ensure that opportunity is not limited by circumstance.

Shooting sports teach discipline, responsibility, patience, and respect. These are values that matter deeply to us — not just in business, but in our community and in our families. Investing in young people is investing in the future.

I am thrilled to share that I have qualified to compete in the World Knife Throwing League (WKTL) World Championship this April. As part of this incredible opportunity, I have one remaining spot on my jersey available for a sponsor, and I would like to extend this unique opportunity to you.
For a sponsorship of $200, your name or logo will be prominently displayed on my competition jersey. This is not just a chance to showcase your brand to an international audience but also an opportunity to support a great cause.
Rather than using these funds for myself, I plan to donate the full amount to two of my fellow competitors, who are also talented throwers, to help cover their travel costs and make their participation in this championship possible. Each of them will receive $100 to ease their expenses and ensure they can represent our sport at its highest level.
