The best interiors are built before the first piece of furniture arrives.
Material selection is where the permanent interior begins. Not the finish schedule. Not the furniture plan. The surface itself: how it holds color, transmits light, frames a room, and performs over decades.

Building a high-performance interior takes a village. Or in our case, a continent.

We are looking back at a busy start to the year spent "enclosing" the design community in education and inspiration. From "sample match sweaters" to technical deep dives, our mission is to move beyond the surface of the material to the faces and places that make great design possible.

So far in 2026, the journey has taken us from the Durat distributor meeting in Copenhagen to Earth Day highlights in Atlanta. We recently welcomed Micah Eastvold from ISEC to our Raleigh showroom and the ROCKin'teriors shop to bridge the gap between national specialty subcontracting and local fabrication expertise.

Whether we are discussing the circularity of recycled plastics or managing the interior finishes for a large commercial project, these visits ensure that every specification is backed by technical mastery. Thank you to the firms and partners who have hosted us so far this year. We are just getting started.

A boundary is more than a physical barrier. It is a filter for the senses.
Exploring the Multi-Sensory Enclosure. In busy environments, true privacy and comfort require more than a visual shield. It requires a sanctuary for touch, sight, and scent.

Timber Slab Tables provide the organic foundation. Their massive scale and tactile surfaces define a grounding point that encourages connection. Stockholm’s sweetest design intersection: MR Cake.

The 2023 interior at MR Cake, designed by Michaela Thrun of MOD, perfectly illustrates the power of a well defined enclosure.
