🪵 Apparently, our dogs think the best way to find barnwood is to dig under the barn and start the demolition process themselves.

We recommend a slightly easier method: 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦. 😄

These are one of the easiest reclaimed wood projects to tackle — and they make a big impact in laundry rooms, kitchens, offices, bathrooms, living rooms, or that weird empty wall you keep pretending not to see.

All you need is:

It’s April…
and somehow we’re still dealing with cold, wind, and gloomy skies like winter never got the memo 😅

At this point we’re just wondering…
👉 is spring actually coming, or are we being tested??

But honestly — this is exactly what gives old barnwood its story.
Years of wind, cold, heat, and everything in between.

We’ve been holding onto this gorgeous batch of Iowa barn siding thinking: 👉 “We’ll make something amazing with it…”

Well… life had other plans. 😆

This wood has been through Iowa wind, snow, heat… and 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴…

And somehow came out looking THIS good. 🔥

This is the real deal—authentic, beautifully aged barn siding— born, raised and retired right here in Iowa. I was saving these gems for myself, but never found the ideal spot. It is unfair to let the batch sit in storage any longer. These boards feature a stunning, natural red-tinted patina that you simply cannot replicate. If you want rustic, you'll want to see these boards.

The Details:

Coverage: 55.85 sq. ft.

Profile: 7-inch wide shiplap (easy to install).

Lengths: Mixed variety from 23" up to 51" (perfect for a high-end staggered look). Board lengths below.

Character: Sunbaked, nice markings, distinct red tones, ready to be gently nursed into a conversation piece in your home.

Perfect Size for a Headboard or Accent Wall:

King Headboard: Plenty of wood for a standard 6.5' wide headboard with enough left over for matching nightstands or a bench.

Floor-to-Ceiling Feature: Perfect for a 6-foot wide accent wall behind a Queen bed (covers up to an 8.5' or 9' ceiling).
