Wisconsin natives, college roommates, and old friends Justin Kutz and James DeCremer launched Wisconsin Reclamation Project in 2013. The Company specializes in the identification and deconstruction of rustic WI barns with the aim of reclaiming the wood and hardware. The Company supplies a superior product at a fair price and prides itself on service, integrity and a deep rooted respect for the gre

at state of Wisconsin. Longstanding relationships with farmers and an affinity for the bucolic WI countryside helped the business evolve from concept to company. We cooperate with farmers to bring you the best reclaimed barn wood available. Whether it’s a small residential interior design project, a restaurant job, or a semi-truck load wholesale order to the Pacific Northwest, we care about every deal and every client and are equipped to handle every transaction. Wisconsin Reclamation Project relies on WI for its barns, but works with buyers and end users in multiple markets across the country. We have the wherewithal to solve logistical issues and welcome the opportunity to be your exclusive barn board supplier. We proudly stock hewn beams, barn siding, barn flooring and barn hardware {please see “Inventory”}. Please spend a few minutes viewing the site, perusing the photo gallery, and please “contact us” with questions, comments or to inquire about your barn wood needs and our pricing. If you have a barn and are interested in our deconstruction program, we are happy to acquaint you with our unique, customer friendly process.
*** Project “Case Studies” will appear on the site as they materialize so please check back regularly to see what we’re up to.

Rough-sawn ceiling beams in a high-end residential kitchen — old-growth softwood with a century of character, cleaned up and put to work in a space that deserves it.

The saw marks, natural checking, and tight grain aren't imperfections. They're proof of age — and age is the whole point of using reclaimed timber.

Wisconsin Reclamation Project supplies rough-sawn, hand-hewn, and mid-century profile beams to custom home builders and designers nationwide. Available kiln-dried and ready to install.

This is where it starts.

Before a barn like this gets demolished, Wisconsin Reclamation Project steps in to recover the material. Heavy timbers from the frame. Dimensional lumber from the walls. Barn board siding from the skin. All of it cleaned, processed, kiln-dried, and put back into buildings that will last another century.

We source within a 3-hour radius of Princeton, WI. If you know of a structure coming down — or need to know what's available — reach out.

Dancing Goat Distillery in Madison, WI — reclaimed barn board siding from floor to ceiling.

This is the kind of installation that tells a story the moment you walk in. Every board came out of a Wisconsin or Midwest barn. The mixed tones, nail holes, checking, and patina variation aren't flaws — they're the whole point.

Wisconsin Reclamation Project supplies barn board, dimensional lumber, and heavy timbers for commercial and residential projects. If you've got a wall, ceiling, or bar face that needs this kind of character, let's talk.

Old-growth Douglas fir — just off a demolition site in Chicago's West Loop.

These are 12×12 and larger, running 16–20 feet. The kind of structural timbers that held up a commercial building for over a century and are now ready for the next one. Tight growth rings, heavy patina, full of character — and we got them out of a tight urban site where most salvage operations wouldn't bother.

If you've got a project that needs beams with scale and story, reach out. This is exactly what we do.

What we're working with this week — wide-plank barn boards fresh off a sourcing run, pre-de-nail.

The weathered grey face is authentic barn patina. The wood underneath is sound. De-nail, re-saw, kiln-dry, and it's ready for your project.

Wisconsin Reclamation Project salvages dimensional lumber and timbers from structures that are coming down anyway. The result is material with real character and history that you can’t replicate with new wood.

If you’re a builder or designer working on a project that calls for reclaimed beams or wide-plank flooring, reach out. We’d love to talk through what we have available.
