On this day each year, we celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the Metre Convention in 1875, a historic moment that laid the foundation for international collaboration in measurement science and the global measurement standards we have in place today.

It's also a day to reflect on the importance of metrology and the essential role accurate measurements have in our lives.

This year's theme focuses on how metrology helps build trust in policy-making, and it's another reminder of the impact metrology has on the world around us.
