This ride combines shady, quiet roads with beautiful vistas along some of the most scenic coastline on the South Shore. You'll find that the effort to get up early enough to leave promptly at 8:30 in April and 7:30 starting in May, will be paid back by having a great ride with little traffic, and you'll be home in time to cook omelets for Sunday brunch! The SSCL will take place every week, weather permitting. The 43-mile loop includes Rockland, Hingham, Norwell, Scituate, and Cohasset with a coffee stop in Scituate Harbor. The 56-mile ride adds a loop to Pemberton Point in Hull, with its magnificent views of Boston Harbor from under the windmill! Set your alarm. You'll be happy you did. Key areas on the bike ride include Wompatuck State Park, Minot Beach, Scituate Lighthouse, Jers. Road, Hull Gut, & Hingham Covered Bridge. Please check the CRW website at 6 AM Sunday for any last minute updates. Notes: The ride will start at 8:30 in April and 7:30 in May. We ride from April through October. Start: Park'n'Ride lot, Rockland (opposite Home Depot) Directions: Take 128 or 93 to Route 3 to Exit 14 (Rt. 228) in Rockland.
