It is with great sadness that I must say that Ellen LaPurka, wife of Bill LaPurka - owner of former Rocky Point Hardware has passed away-very fittingly on St Patrick's Day, Monday March 17th. Ellen wore her Irish heritage with extreme pride. 🍀 🇮🇪
There will be services at McLaughlin-Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead on Tuesday March 25 from 5-8.
If you attend, please wear something 🍀GREEN🍀 to show your support for Ellen and her Irish heritage and keep Bill, their children Danielle (Dennis) and David (Sabina) and grandchildren Devon and Rebecca in your thoughts and prayers 💚🍀🇮🇪💚

Ellen M. LaPurka of Riverhead died Monday, March 17, 2025, at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 81 years old.

I just found out tonight that my BFF of nearly 40 years lost everything in a flood from the rain storm we had on Sunday night. If you can donate anything , even if it's $5 that would be greatly appreciated. As soon as I found out what they need in terms of actual items.. I will update this post.

I found more store window pics! I KNOW there's so many more! Easter, St. Patrick's Day... Can't wait to find more.... When I see them I remember making each and everyone and because I'm not too creative (it kind of builds up as I go along) I remember all the anxiety I went through doing them LOL. ~~Kristina
