Congratulations to our 2026 Scholarship Winner, Thor McCoy!

We are proud to award this year’s Oregon Tool & Supply scholarship to Thor McCoy, who plans to pursue a career in the trades as an electrician.

Thor is already putting in the work. His passion for the trades has been built through hands-on experience, from working alongside his dad on projects to participating in Made for Trades and the Construction Combine at UCC, where he helped build sheds for local veterans.

One thing that really stood out to us in Thor’s letter was that his goals go beyond simply building a career. He wants to become highly skilled in his trade, encourage other young people to consider careers in the trades, and someday create opportunities for the next generation right here in Douglas County.

Thor wrote, “My goal is not just to build a career, but to make a difference by inspiring others, supporting my community, and helping keep the trades strong for the next generation.”

Congratulations, Thor! We can’t wait to see where your hard work takes you.

Please join us in wishing a very happy 18th birthday to Dallas!

Many of you have watched Dallas grow up around the store.

He started out by reorganizing the bolt bins into a system that only a kid could understand and eventually graduated to stocking shelves for a summer job.

Today he turns 18, and we couldn't be prouder of the kind, hardworking young man he's become.
