Our Story

Schuyler Home and Building Supply LLC is owned by a local resident of Schuyler and was purchased from Brian & Becky Schmidt of Shelby Lumber in Novemeber of 2017. Before the purchase the name of the business was Schuyler Lumber Co. and had been in business for 29 years.

The lumberyard was purchased in 1988 by Brian & Becky Schmidt of Shelby, owners of Shelby Lumber. At that time the name was changed from Highway Lumber to its current name of Schuyler Lumber. The past twenty plus years have seen some major changes at the lumberyard. The store was doubled in size with an addition that gave the building a new look and a larger retail area. With the purchase of the vacant lot to the north of the lumberyard, it allowed for a new storage facility to be built. This improved the lumberyards ability to offer more products to its customers. Schuyler Lumber Co. continued to serve the community of Schuyler up until its sale to Art Lindberg in November of 2017.

Schuyler Home & Building Supply LLC will continue to serve Schuyler and the surrounding areas with quality materials at the lowest prices possible. Our goal here at Schuyler Home & Building Supply is to be a staple of this wonderful community and to “Grow” Schuyler in any way we can.
