A customer ordered a full set of our Hock Tools kitchen cutlery, with fiddleback maple for the handles. Of course, Andris is a real life fiddle/violin maker, so that's legit.

Lewis Knife & Tool Services provide a host of services for our customers. Sharpening includes knives, scissors and shears, hairstylist shears, woodworking tools, lawn and garden tools, circular saw blades, and more. Repair and restoration services also available.

Every now and then I get a knife restoration project that seems a bit improbable. This particular Chicago Cutlery paring knife had corroded handle pins, wood handle scales that were barely there and a lot of rust. And look at that blade- used and sharpened until the original shape is unrecognizable. But sometimes you just can't let your favorite knife go. I've done a few restorations like this for customers and love the idea of getting another ten, twenty or thirty years out of a knife that some folks would throw away and replace.

I am happy to announce that Lewis Knife & Tool Services has re-opened for business! Not much has changed except a reset of the shop. Our regular business hours are the same, Tue-Sat 10-5. Be aware that the shop is a small space. If there are multiple customers at once please respect the state's guidelines on social distancing.
