Just a friendly reminder for the Texas firefighters. Don't forget to complete your cancer awareness training!

One of the recommendations you'll see in the PowerPoints is for "preliminary exposure reduction". This is a fancy way of saying to clean yourself after exiting the IDLH and before doffing any part of your PPE (including mask/scba).

Lone Star Rescue Solutions, sells the StormStick Decon Shower. These showers are NFPA 1851 compliant and proven to reduce 80% of heavy contaminates on bunker gear.

VFIS of Texas provides a grant process and the StormStick has been approved under the health & safety aspect of the grant. These grant applications are due NO LATER than December 31st. This is a reimbursable grant, so keep your invoice and submit back, if you're awarded.

We have sold many showers over the last year, and I (a firefighter as well) am super proud of those agencies for recognizing the need and stepping up to protect the protectors.

Mighty Struts shoring head has an aggressive surface and 4 holes large enough to accept a 16 penny nail for securing the bases to strongbacks and shoring lumber. The shoring head is designed rotate up to 30° in two directions.
