💔 A Message from The Master Locksmith Family 💔
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Greg Rash, founder of The Master Locksmith, who passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2026.
For more than 30 years, Greg wasn’t just a locksmith in Sequim — he was part of the fabric of this community. If you stopped by the shop, chances are you didn’t just leave with help for a lock or a key. You left with a story, a laugh, advice you didn’t know you needed, and the feeling that someone genuinely cared.
Greg lived and worked in Sequim for the past 32 years, and he poured his heart into this town. He was deeply passionate about locksmithing, especially old locks and the history behind them, and his knowledge was unmatched. Other locksmiths regularly called him for advice, and he always made time to help — no ego, just generosity.
But more than his skill, Greg will be remembered for who he was. He could talk to anyone, anywhere, at any time — always with a smile and a laugh. He went out of his way to help friends, customers, and family whenever they were in need. He truly loved people, and that showed in everything he did.
Greg was a proud father, uncle, friend, and mentor. His passing leaves an immeasurable void not only for his family, but for the many people in this community who trusted him, relied on him, and called him a friend.
We are deeply grateful for the years of support, kindness, and friendship this community has shown Greg and The Master Locksmith. Sequim was his home, and serving this town was one of his greatest honors.
Details about a memorial service will be shared when available.
Thank you for keeping Greg’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
He will be deeply missed — and never forgotten.
💙
