Today our President is participating in the Nutrient Solutions Workshop at the Konza Prairie Biological Station. The workshop brings together 47 participants from universities, government agencies, and industry to discuss practical solutions for nutrient management challenges in Kansas agriculture.

The goal of the forum is to identify realistic strategies to reduce nutrient loss, improve water quality, and better understand the economic and logistical barriers that limit adoption of current practices. Insights from today’s discussions will be compiled into a report to help guide researchers, state agencies, and agricultural stakeholders.

Workshops like this are an important step toward collaboration across research, policy, and industry to support sustainable agriculture in Kansas and beyond.

We shipped a record number of ABM Milo Guards this year and the response from farmers has been overwhelmingly positive. One grower was so impressed with how they performed on his Deere flex header, he sent us videos of the guards in action. That says it all.

Reduced loss. Clean harvest. Easy install. These guards did the job, and did it well.

A huge thank you to the farmers, dealers, and our ShieldAg team who helped make it happen!

Precision 12.5 lb parts for in plant manufacturing equipment for an aerospace company.

Material is high tech and it is heat treated to a tight tolerance. Bearing bores held to 0.001” total after heat treat. Requires post heat treat polish and QC inspection.

ShieldAg service team repairing a damaged 2295 conveyor that had a terrible vibration. Our tech did the troubleshooting and provided same day turnaround during the harvest season! Special thanks to KanEquip, Inc. for the use of their tractor with 1000 rpm PTO, to run the grain conveyor at proper speed.

A leading ag-input research team recently upgraded their drill with ShieldAg’s Acra-Drill Units (ADUs) to ensure consistent, precise seed placement in cereal and legume plots.

The lead researcher then asked for a solution to plant two outboard rows of a wheat cover crop alongside barley and soybean plots helping reduce soil impact from tractor and drill tire tracks.

ShieldAg has a solution with the two “leading coulters”, shown here, the team easily introduced the wheat cover crop without disrupting trial layout or data collection. The fit and function exceeded expectations, and it’s a win for both agronomic integrity and sustainable research practices.

ShieldAg President and Kansas Department of Agriculture Board Member, Mike Bergmeier, is In Manhattan, Kansas, where industry and government leaders gathered for a presentation by Tulsa Ports (Port of Catoosa) outlining plans to expand unit train rail service for Kansas ag commodities.

The initiative will connect Kansas producers to the inland port, where grain and other ag products will be efficiently loaded onto barges bound for Gulf ports, reducing transportation costs, improving market access, and adding millions to the Kansas ag economy.

This collaboration between Tulsa Ports, BNSF, and Kansas ag stakeholders represents a major step toward strengthening infrastructure and logistics for the state’s farmers and ag manufacturers.
