More pictures from the Mowery Latshaw Hardware Store Auction Nov 1 and 2, Fri and Sat. We found even more early correspondence from late 1800's and early 1900's. I wonder whose signature may be in there, amazing. Also cultivator bolts (who has those?), brass and other hardware no longer available, a tree stand or 2, drywall stilts and more

This 5 1/2 ft “candle” was made by our tinsmiths sometime in the late 1930s or early 1940s. It was fashioned from stovepipe and tin and fitted with a porcelain light socket and cloth lamp cord. The original bulb burned out a few years ago so I went to my personal stock (remember Uncle Russell!) and fitted the candle with an original Edison bulb!💡

Thanks to my Uncle Russell Latshaw (who taught me to save everything)the Nov 1 & 2 auction will include many items that I picked and stored at the hardware including this giant U.S. Flag! I had to roll up the bottom and support it with pegboard hooks to keep it off of the floor.(even with 10 ft ceiling)
